They say that loving someone is the greatest and
the hardest feeling of all time... in situations
like these... what will you do?
Fill it up...
Pano kung mahal mo pero di ka mahal?
e di wag :p waste of energy
Mahal ka pero di mo mahal?
yuck. ayoko pa rin. walang kwenta e
Mahal nyo ang isa't isa pero hindi pwede?
underground muhahahhaah! until makahanap ng legal nyahahaha! life sucks e.
Pwede pero pinatatagal pa?
madaling pabilisin yan (wink wink)
Friends naman na pwedeng more than friends?
masaya!!!!!!!!!!
Kunwari pihikan pero hindi?
yuck ayoko. ano yun? kahit sinong babae papatulan nya? e di dun na sya sa harem nya!
Kayo pero pinagpalit ka sa iba?
tangina nila mamatay sila! hehehe joke! i don't need a player
Kayo na nga inaagaw pa ng iba?
e di mag try silang mang agaw! mamatay na sila sa inggit! sa akin pa rin syah!
Hanggang dreams mo na lang talaga siya?
e di matulog ng mahimbinnggggg!
Or friends lang tlga dapat kahit mahal mo?
wala ako paki. past sya. ako present at future!
Nahule mo na nakikipagbalikan siya sa ex niya habang kayo?
patay silang pareho sa akin! :))
Nahule mong may iba, tapos gs2 niya pagsabayin kayong dalawa?
neknek nya! :))
Mahal ka niya pero hinde na siya masaya? (no other person involved)..
e di let go! ayoko ng bf na puro reklamo! :D

What's Your Party Style?

The best parties are charged with a pulsing energy, and with your charisma, you're sure to brighten up any soiree around. Whether you're sending over a subtle wink, or flat-out flirting with your best brush of an arm, or sultry smile, you've got a spunky energy that will surely light up any party.
You don't take life too seriously and are quick to size up just what everyone in the room is after. It doesn't matter if you're chatting up a just-spotted cutie, or showing off for your adoring masses — your magnetic aura is sure to leave a lasting glow.

You are Form 2, Angel: The Pure.
"And The Angel rose as holy protector for
all that was created. She fought with honor
and valor to serve the good of the world. But
the coming of the mankind was her downfall; and
end to purity."
Some examples of the Angel Form are Michael
(Christian) and Hercules (Greek).
The Angel is associated with the concept of virtue,
the number 2, and the element of wind.
Her sign is the zenith sun.
As a member of Form 2, you are a person of your
word. You generally keep your promises and
give everything you do your best. Although
some people see you as overbearing sometimes,
you know that you have to stay true to yourself
and do what's right. Angels are the best
friends to have because they are brutally
honest.

weird. these two entries are posted, but never published. i tried many times, but still nada. so here's my last resort.

I went to the 2003 comics creation seminar. it was pretty helpful. and it took me a while before i could gather up enough guts to approach David Campiti and show him my portfolio. He thought it was ok, and suggested I try out the harley quinn sample script. As well as talk to eugene about web design, since he saw my layouts for an ad agency.
i can't wait to start working on the comics, but I can't find the script either. I texted Wilson Tortosa and he soon replied, saying he'll see if he has a copy of it to forward to me, also suggesting that i email eugene. I emailed eugene hoping he could send me the script or at least send me the link to it.

Before I forget, Riq, if your birthday is april 3, happy birthday!
I don’t know what's about yesterday, but I felt really lousy and depressed. Must be that time of the month. Or I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Or it started with not being able to return and exchange items in Saralee. I’m finding out ways to work around the red tape and their ridiculous rules. Then I went on to the tindahan facing the fact that our business is student-dependent and had to close down for the summer. And my hand still hurts too much to draw, however much I itch to just grab a pen and draw curves and lines to create wings and fly again, even if it’s just on the two-dimensional drawing surface. I put medicine on it. I hope it heals by the time the workshop comes along. And I hope I have money to spend by then. And it’s so frickin’ hot. It reminds me that the last time we went out to a swimming excursion was way back in Summer 2000, I think. I remember going to Splash Island.
Darn, the weather’s so hot!!!
Just watched Treasure Island. I enjoyed it. And I wanted so much to draw again. On Saturday, healed or not, I’m drawing! I looked at the bonus materials and saw how the movie started out with concept sketches, ending to the refined final renderings.
I’m trying to find time to study Flash between minding the store and the house and sometimes the baby(he got his first barber-haircut, by the way, so people would stop mistaking him for a baby girl. His hair had grown so long we used to put ribbons and clips on him. So ok, I guess the trip to the barber also had psychological-health reasons, heh-heh-heh!).
Mom and dad had to go to Calamba to get li’l sis’ stuff from the dorm so it fell on me (again) to hold the Tindahan Meeting. I told them about temporarily closing until school starts again, and how they could (read: should) improve for the benefit of us all. The primary employee replied with a statement that I should involve myself more in the business. I guess I wasn’t too excited with the fact that they’re wanting to depend on me the whole time I’m trying to tell them to take initiative for improvement. I mean, I’m trying to build my own artistic and architectural career and future here. And they’re expecting me to take full responsibility. I just told them I’m helping as much as I can already, but they shouldn’t depend on me and mom to improve the system.
Let’s just say the meeting ended with me feeling more depressed because of all the politicking the employees are doing. It’s like there I was trying to tell them to do their jobs, and all they wanted to do was to rant about the other employees. Geez, there was so much back-stabbing going on I wish we could find a new business and a new set of employees! Running the business was so difficult and the employees are not helping any. If the place wasn’t located at such a prime spot we would’ve closed shop long ago.
That night I checked my cel to find a message from my best friend ranting about HIS bad day and asked if I could cheer him up. I chuckled and tried to tell him that he could get online for us to have a bitchfest. I was working on the computer when I got a call from him long-distance. He said he just got home from work(at 9pm) and is yet to eat or get dressed or even rest.
“Is it that bad?”
“Um, no, I guess. Gusto ko lang may makausap,” I could hear clattering plates on his side. He’s using the noisy(buzzing) kitchen phone again. Soon he told me he had to go and eat.
It was pretty brief. But I guess it’s still something when someone calls you long-distance just because gusto nyang “may makausap”. Well, kiddo. I hope our short phone conversation helps J
PS: If any of you know where I can get myself a Final Fantasy VIII PC game, please let me know! I looked everywhere in San Pablo Mall and they only have PS versions of it! I finished playing Grandia 2 long ago and my big sis and I are asking for more games like that! Grandia 2 was the only game my big sis liked so far. I guess she liked the turn based-RPG stuff. I personally like the story. And the different backgrounds and graphics. What other games are like that?
PS2: AYT!!!! I successfully installed WARCRAFT3! Wheeeeeee!

I’ve been trying to send my brochure jpegs repeatedly yesterday. I think the files may truly be corrupted, for my net doesn’t usually give me such a hard time.
I really should start asking around about a CD writer/burner (what’s the difference?). What specs should I be looking for? If any of you guys out there could help me just email me at jactinglim@yahoo.com ok?
Now, I’ll go see what I can do to fix that darn brochure…

MY PC IS CURED!!! ...sort of.
Jonas came over to my house (finally! i captured a pc doctor!) and after a few hours of tinkering with my pc, it actually scanned without a hitch! the printer still won't work, though, but kuya gerry was right about his suspicions about the printer running out of ink. All in all, we happily declared that i can manage without the dreaded reformat for a while! whee! ^_^
Dr. Jonas' final SCIENTIFIC diagnosis is that the pc is a girl. It's why daw the scanner works perfectly when operated by guys.
that slut ;)
seriously though, he just said that i should scan "the manly way" by opening the scanner menu through another program, like Photoshop or something.
Anyway, I suggested to name the scanner "Jona", since it's obviously 'his bitch'.
He suggested "Joan" :)
Anyway, i can finally scan independently! so here they are!

Tuesday, March 11
I answered my cellphone and found Jonas on the other end of the line. He told me he recommended me to Haribon as Layout Artist, and wants me to go there tomorrow and show 'em my stuff. I went through my stuff and found I had only two layout samples that survived my past careers. I stayed up until midnight updating my resume, make new layout samples (which I fear to be too simple) and sent them thru the net to Jonas, as well as saving them all on disk. I had my outfit and bag ready with my portfolio, and slept.
Wednesday, March 12
Mom woke me up a few minutes before my 4:30 alarm. I got ready as fast as I can and got on a crossing-calamba jeep outside my gate. Eep! I reached olivares 6:30! Sowy jonas T_T! Thank goodness for flexitime! We got on a Cubao bus and got off somewhere to get on another bus to city hall. From there we walked around to the back to Haribon Office. The place looks pretty nice. We went off to have breakfast first, his treat I had fish with tomatoes and toyomansi :9 And green apple mirinda.
It took a while because they really wanted Jonas to handle the projects personally, but he’s really good at convincing people ;) then he found he had to lug a leyte chair home so he sent me on a jeep to the nearest MRT station. From there I went to comfort zone to wait with ariel for az to go to the sci-fi con. I finished the small version of hot copy while waiting. Az hailed a taxi for us all to ride to amorsolo. Kuya Gerry!!! And I was happy to see Tintin again, who intro’ed me to Carla and Marie. We all went to Mcdo.
There we ate, talked anime, and designed a jedi knight. Or at least tried to. We were all goofing off managing it, but we definitely had fun. At first we argued whose koibito chichiri is, until I remembered that I still have my hotohori pic in my organizer. I doodled Marie with her dewberry-koi, Tintin with her chichiri plushie, and Carla beating Rukawa in a slamdunk. We stayed there so long I reminded them to go back there, 10-minute walk and all. Tintin said she’ll catch up. Man, did she! The girl can run! J
Whee! The place is pretty small, and i didn't expect it to be outdoors (good thing it didn't rain), but the booths are so much fun!
There's karen's tarot card reading(i wish it were only P50 tho, it's all i could afford! ahehehe!).
The hogwarts "enrollment booth" even give you a wand and some candies! it's very well made, with the kids in mind when it was conceptualized. (the li'l harry potter look-alike is so adorable!!! Kawaii ne!!!) Soon I was surrounded by 3 wand-wielding witches.
The Star wars booth have a lot of eye-candy goodies as well. that R2D2 was just begging to be taken home! heheheh!
X-files booth is undisputedly the best! that chalk outline was really funny, especially when az and others lie down in it for photo opportunities. Poor daddy az, victim of Sadako! It's currently being investigated by FBI special agents Tintin, Carla and Marie.
I saw a cute arwen cosplayer at the tolkien booth! And that guy in the elven cloak is really nice. I ogled at a LOTR RP card with my favorite elf’s pic in it. Legolas is SO my daddy!!!
At the PinoySlayers booth (I hope it doesn’t mean they slay pinoys ;) they give out wooden stakes to (literally?) kick-ass buffy trainees. I was more glad than surprised when I saw Cathy (remember Pakunoda?) with the wooden stake. She said she plans to cosplay as Faye Valentine next time. Watch out for it, otakus J
And Trekkies! The people there are so nice! Especially that guy in the blue star trek uniform. Brash Young Cinema is doing a great job giving the trekkies what they want. And more.
I met a lot cool people, I enjoyed talking photoshop and rendering techniques with the blitzworkx guys roy and the others. They even introduced me to their president Emman. Good thing I brought my portfolio for the Haribon. It sure made its round all over the scifi con! And I loved looking at the awesome artworks of all the other artists I met there. I was practically bouncing with joy when carlo vergara drew a sketch for me and ryan signed my copy of darna. I even met paolo of Jawbreaker!
I'm not as big a sci-fi fan as i used to be, but i had so much fun it was the most kick-ass convention i've ever been in! ^_^ whee!

Thursday, February 27
I was in the tindahan, almost done making the sign for our fastfood's siete-tres/P10 halo-halo promo when beho passed by and told me of a concert they're organizing for march 1 at the sampaloc park. he told me that he needs my help with something and said he'll call me tonight for more details. after he rushed to his sakayan in goldilocks i went home with my bro and people in a tricycle.
tonight, 10pm
i was done with the sign, and was quite satisfied. then the baby woke up so i had to carry him to rock him back to sleep. later beho called to tell me he needed my help with painting the backdrop for the march 1 concert. i agreed to meet him 3pm tomorrow. i asked what to bring. brushes daw. after that i went back to sleep, after reading a text from azrael asking me if i'm going to the darna launch tomorrow night. thinking how little my chances are of being allowed to go to manila without my own job (hence no own money), i found some way to let him know i couldn't make it.
Friday, February 28
i went with my mom and sis out to bayan. the baby's supposed to come with us but he got tired waiting (literally?) so he fell asleep. we left him with lola, then called one of our people to come home and watch him. i checked the store, put up the sign, then left early, hoping to fix my reputation of being usually late. i got there early, but it turns out he's late. no load, i had to borrow some guy's cell to text him that i'm already there, only to receive a reply that he's gonna be late and the time's moved to 4pm. i decided to drop by on some of my friends living nearby to pass the time until it's four. they all reacted upon knowing how i ended up there and told me to be intentionally late, just to get back at him :) hahah!
4pm i went back. seeing more people there, i was hoping i'd see someone i'd at least know. after waiting until 4:40, i was positively annoyed, i stalked off to my tindahan. the walk from farmer's to m. paulino only slightly took the edge of my mood, but i tried to cool myself as i called his house and heard that he already left. i finally decided to buy a load and call him to decide if i should just ditch everything and go home. before i could load though i got a text saying he's there already.
i decided to walk some more on the way back so i could be just calm enough not to kick his late ass. i was a few blocks away when i notice all the people in farmer's are looking my way... "cripes, what'd he tell 'em now?"
a kid in a red cap came over to me and said that beho had been there and will be back soon. i just raised my brows as i noted that all the people are still staring at me. to take my mind off them i took out my portfolios to show the kid. soon others are looking over his shoulders to peek. that way i surreptitiously differentiated who knows beho and who don't, and struck up a conversation with those who do, until beho comes along (finally).
he apologised like he should. but then i guess he should've apologised some more 'cause he never told me anything about an all-nighter painting in his place. when i got to his place i made a call home to ask permission to spend the night. i made sure beho would take me back to bayan if ma won't let me. i was never allowed to spend the night anywhere in san pablo all my life, unless it's with my cousins. so mom's definitely pissed. but i convinced her when i truthfully told her there are three girls in the house and that there are five of us working. and that it's too dark for me to go back out of the house to go home.
mom made all these embarassing habilins like " watch yourself, i don't want my daughter acting like a boy again!" and "and for god's sake, eat slowly! like a lady!" among other things. they laughed when i told them about it, but they were also happy i could stay. his mom is as sweet as she is on the phone. she kept apologising for having to serve leftovers, but the turbo chicken wasn't bad at all. i even asked her how she made her personal twist with it, since it's also one of my mom's many specialties. they lent me slippers and clothes. the place was crawling with dogs, and they're very playful and makulit, always walking all over the cloth as if they want a piece of the action, too.
starting off on the project is always the hardest, and painfully-slowest part. we finally agreed to work on the bigger of the two first, hoping the feeling of accomplishing that would prompt us to make the other one. the bigger canvas is a stylized dove painting. i was hesitant to admit that i didn't know it was a peace dove, until another commented the same. we all laughed as we realize the first we had to do make the dove more obvious. fortunately, the people we work with are all great artists, and i'm impressed with their input… as soon as they loosened up enough to talk.
it was fun, eating popcorn, talking with the guys, and i met his bro ebong, he's cool to talk with. we all exchanged stories all night so i rarely felt sleepy. when i did i asked if i should sleep or eat to stay awake. beho gave me a mango fruit, and i gave him the seed part(too messy to eat). they also sang all kind of ads they hear during the soaps. i'm still suffering from LSS with the enervon-C plus jingle still singing in my head "...si vitamin c, ay narito na, pero mahina at nag-iisa. mabuti na lang, may enervon-c plus..." aaaaargh! well, at least it's not as bad as ebong's "thousand miles" by vanessa carlton. he's humming the freaking tune all freaking night.
Saturday, March 1, 12am
the font for "No Blood for Oil" was great, psychedelic as we wanna be. and we added swirls on the background and the gradients really made everything alive. it was fun working with this team, fast and efficient. we were done by 2am. i expected maybe 4am or so. but we were still tired we decided to forget about the second painting. and when we peeled the cloth off the pavement we found paint seeped through and left a similar painting there. we wouldn't step on it as we hanged the cloth to dry! i helped wash the paint off the brushes... mostly because they're mine! ahehehehe! no, i also washed the other stuff :) really. we all slept at 2:30am.
i woke up 6:30. my calculations are correct. my minimum sleep time is 4 hours. i can sleep for only an hour, but i have to set an alarm for it. if i stayed up like that for three nights tho the fire bell itself can't wake me for four hours. beho was already up. it was damn chilly! ebong was loudly ranting about how cold the morning was, but i'm not sure if all his loud tirade was for a positive or not. i went down to join ebong for coffee, then went to the service area to check out the beeeee-yutiful pavement we accidentally painted. i was glad their mom could see it too. they served breakfast of instant noodles in which they added eggs. we were all so hungry we quickly ate it all, along with some pan de sal. i tried the tuna spread beho made and liked it. but then again, i always liked tuna (meow!).
i asked them if they could help me reformat my pc. they said they could. i wouldn't hope for it too much though 'cause i know how busy they always are. i later got dressed so jopet and i can leave for bayan. beho walked with us to the sakayan. jop got off at farconville then i made my way home. i played with mikko as soon as i got home, then plopped on the bed by nine and slept til one to eat lunch. then i finally took off my clothes from yesterday to take a shower and get ready to go to the 3pm concert. i got there late, because i was hoping to sell drawings and bought materials, but they were still doing sound-checks until 4pm.
it finally started at five. so few people turned up. but beho and his band made the opening act. i've been making doodles since i got there, and soon met beho's girlfriend again che, with her friend rhia. rhia's bf played with the opening act using his um... whaddyacall that long trumpet thingie usually used in ska? anyway he carries it in this big leather case that reminded me of a scene in Godfather, heheheh! rhia liked my drawings so much and laughed at my two-dimensional antics i found my zone to start drawing again. i haven't drawn for so long because i could never be satisfied with my work anymore. but when i saw people laugh at my doodles again, after a long time, i learned that they don't have to look like Pol Medina Jr.'s to be worth drawing. and i was drawing up a storm, rhia sometimes points out funny scenes at the concert for me to draw, and i added on it with some funny ideas that pop up in my head.
by the time we left for home i filled up 2 pages of my sketchbook, both of which i handed over to beho to scan. i hope he emails them to me. yary-chan(rhia) suggested we stop over at jollibee. a joke broke out about someone making libre. after much debating between beho and rhia on who will do it, they finally agreed to split the bill between them. we all ate in a row as i finished the second page for beho to scan.
after that che and yary asked me to ride the calauan jeep with them, their tab. when the driver told me that i have to pay double because i should be in a wawa jeep, the two girls convinced me to stay by paying the extra as well. as we waited in the jeep yary's phone rang with her koibitos! she told me earlier that she's been going to and from japan and picked up a few suitors along the way. we all giggled as one jealous bishounen even insisted to talk with us to prove she's not with another guy. yary was greatly amused when i mouthed off a few japanese phrases i learned from watching too much anime, then i got off at my stop. it was a fun night.

whew! FINALLY! the party's over and done with! argh! we've all been running all over the place organizing and planning and entertaining the guests! we were exhausted!
but i was also glad the party was a success. it wasn't perfect, but it was fun nonetheless. with or without wearing blue's ears ;)
thanks for all who came to the party! Hello Mimay! hello Blossom Ting! hello Derrick! sana naxt time punta kayo dito overnight na! heheheh! para masaya!
i was supposed to post pics of mikko in his chinese suit which he wore in this first birthday ritual thingie, but as usual, my scanner is more infuriating than ever. if i ever get near a working scanner, i'll post 'em ok? maybe i'll even post a pic of myself hosting the kiddie party(!) and games.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLAN! :)
We went out to town and bought all the stuff he asked for. We also surprised him with a cake and banner. Gem See's made a little mistake though when they put a "1" candle instead of a "25". I had to go back and ask for them so we could stick onto the sesame street themed cake. Of course, the banner also had sesame street characters all over it :) We took pictures. We ate. We had fun.
In no particular order :)

I had to go back and ask for them so we could stick onto the sesame street themed cake. Of course, the banner also had sesame street characters all over it :) We took pictures. We ate. We had fun.

nope. i'm actually having problems installing the darn updated driver! sigh, so as much as i enjoyed playing grim fandango i had to uninstall it :( damn, i just don't know how i could fix my pc. it's said we could've gone wrong somewhere along the line and deleted some system files so the only way to fix it would be to reinstall windows. nuts! i have no idea how to do it myself and i can't afford it. sheesh, and my scanner isn't working at all! argh! it's times like these that i wish i took up IT instead of archi!

i've reinstalled grim fandango, but i'm still looking for a better driver. I'm playing Startopia in the meantime. I can't get past mission two!
happy valentine's day! or in my case, happy Single Awareness Day. I'm wearing all black today. but kuya gerry complained that it's not really all black because there's a big bright yellow Tweety Bird on my shirt.
I even changed my cellphone casing into matte (rubberized) black with matching black keypad ^_^

hello! i'm veeery busy these days, especially since mom went to hongkong with dad. They'll be celebrating their 28th Wedding Anniversary by touring hongkong then china.
I spent the first days balancing accounts, checking and counting sales and expenditures, and basically trying not to strangle employees for being unbelievably mentally-challenged. we get even by checking all the cash flow to the tiniest discrepancies (P1.85 to be exact). I also organized account documents that dated back from January 24 because mom didn't have time to do it herself since dad came home. I even made new logbooks for advance account documents.
whew! sometimes i feel overwhelmed because i haven't really done anything like this since college (all that math and stuff) and I really have to interact with the people abot that touchy subject(money). So far it's working out, though. And I'm really having fu8n, since what i love doing is organizing chaos. And mom left me all this backlog and unorganized papers! Whee! I stayed up nights happily filing each and every one of them out.
Then when i'm still in that rush that I couldn't sleep, i installed grim fandango and played it until Year Three (there are four years). I had to stop though because the game crashed when I went to that crane/conveyor belt scene. I later read in a site that I should upgrade my video driver. Anyway, I was forced to sleep at 4am that night because of that glitch.
right now i'm looking for the driver upgrade to download.
And I'm very hungry.
Yes. Again.

hello! I have finally bought my scanner, but i'm getting weird problems with the damn thing.
the first time we installed it, it worked a few times. then after the third scan we can't scan anymore.
It previews, then we set the resolutions and other settings, then as soon as we hit the SCAN button the PC errors and a window appears saying the scanner made errors with the MAPTABLE.DLL file. We checked out the file in the CD and the hard drive. my Norton said there wasn't any viruses. We uninstalled it and reinstalled it all night and all day. It still wouldn't work.
the next day my sister managed to get it working again after reinstalling it (again). I used it a few times (in less than an hour) before the trouble started all over again. exact same thing. i'm getting frustrated here :p
sigh. we bought a webcam as an afterthought. this one works, thankfully. So does my specs. I had a pair fitted for my astigmatism (i mentioned this before). we have a free option to have our lenses tinted. My lil sis opted to have hers tinted pink to match with her purple frames. I had mine tinted brown.

my old sim's dead. yeah, the (0917)975-32-43 one. I haven't used it (read: loaded) it for so long it died on me. snif, snif.
I kindly ask everybody for 5 seconds of solemn, mournful silence.
. . . . .
Okay! Thank you! Life goes on! Whee! ^_^
Dad brought home Nokia 3610's for my two sisters. I told dad I'd rather have a scanner than a 3610, so I'm getting my big sis' 3310 instead for a cellphone. Along with its sim, 'cause it has voice recordings of my nephew Mikko since he was only two months old. The recordings would be erased if the sim would be removed from the phone. If you wanna know my new cell number, email me at jactinglim@yahoo.com :) I'll reply to you as fast as I could!
PS Mikko is exactly eleven months old yesterday! Whee!

dear papa,
Hello! Sorry I haven’t been able to email you lately. I was busy deleting spam(chain letters, etc.) from my inbox I run out of time to write to you. How are you? In less than a week we’ll all be together again! Whee! ^_^
Ok, we’ll shop in duty free this time. We are very happy too last time even when we had to forgo it to buy a computer. Because if it wasn’t for the emails we wouldn’t be able to have long talks during the Christmas season. We also get to send these cute animated cards. The cards you send are funny :D I’m already looking for Chinese new year e-cards to send you, but I thought you’ll be here before it happens anyway.
I’m glad it’s okay with Mr. Lim that you come home earlier than Jan 31. That’s so kind of him! I was hoping that I’d be proficient in driving by the time you get back here, but I still find parking a bit tricky. I manage to get the car out of the garage, but getting it back in is slightly more difficult due to the ground slope.
The Mardi gras is okay I guess, but we’d rather watch it on the local cable. That way we get to see close ups of the stars who come over here, instead of having to crane our necks squinting from the back of the crowd to figure out who the heck is onstage. I remember one night when wan wan was watching the Celestron channel. She was laughing her head off :) we could see everybody having fun at the stars’ antics onstage. And when we look out the window we could her their songs from the distance.
Allan, Beya and I went out to the streets last night. We rode a jeep to the welcome sign then had to walk from there. We asked Allan where he wants the three of us to go. He answered “Jollibee”. We took in the sights, lights and sounds as we made our way to its Rizal Avenue branch. There were bands playing on impromptu stages and food stalls lined the streets. Tables and chairs are set out and roped off for people who wanted to drink in the open air. The weather’s great, with just a slight bit of rain.
Allan waved and gestured with his hands as usual, so we walked on either side of him gently holding his arm. We let him sing all he wanted though because there’s a party atmosphere going on anyway. And he’s clearly having fun :) We reached Jollibee after going around the stalls and crowds. Beya fell in line while Allan and I looked for seats.
We talk with him all the time, telling him every decision and suggestion, and sometimes asking him between choices to make. The two of us found a vacant table but before I realize what he was doing he grabbed the leftover soda and finished it. I managed to stop him when he reached for the leftover sundae next. As I waited for the darn employee to put away the mess of leftovers from the table’s last occupants I eventually gave up and brought us to another table that’s already cleared.
From the new table we could see Beya in the line waiting for her turn to order. I pointed her out to Allan. Beya soon found us from her line and called me over to help carry the trays. I told Allan that I’ll get the food and will be right back before I left him to help Beya.
When I came back to the table with the first tray holding two Chickenjoy meals and 3 iced teas he said “Spaghetti,” looking for more. I told Beya that he wanted spaghetti as well when she arrived with the second tray, bearing a burger steak meal for herself and 3 sundaes. She said that these should be enough because it’s too late at night and he doesn’t need the extra calories. I was the first to finish off my meal, most likely because I was the hungriest, and that Allan kept grabbing my food. He especially likes the crispy chicken skin. Beya laughed at how we practically licked our plates(and sundae cups) clean!
Wan wan was texting us about the place having a street party that night. So far we haven’t seen much happening at 7:30pm. We walked out finding some guys selling necklaces with blinking/flashing light pendants. They looked very pretty wearing them at night out in the streets. Allan wore one that looked like a mini strobe light colored blue. I wore a red flashing dolphin shaped one. I kept making cracks about us being “jologs for the night”. Jologs means baduy or bakya :) Beya also bought one of those glow sticks (in red) like the one we bought when we were in Enchanted Kingdom.
We made our way to 7-Eleven to buy some necessities like tissue and 3-in-1 coffee mixes(Allan insists). He enjoyed going through he magazine rack so much we had a hard time pulling him away from it when it was time to go. On the way home we saw bands playing stages along Rizal avenue. But the crowd we so dense we could barely move. We basically had to push our way through before we reach the sakayan. We walked all the way back to the Welcome sign to check out the night crowd until we found a jeep home. Most Wawa jitney drivers recognize us that they automatically slow down and stop before we could say “para”.
We plan to have a little handa, but we’re having second thoughts about the ice cream because Allan and the others have the cough and colds. We’re definitely having chocolate rolls though, because we ran out of them during the4 Christmas season!
Thanks for the belt bag, I’d most probably use it when I’m minding the store. I usually just stuff the money in my pants so I can guard them everywhere I go. I can’t leave it at the cash drawer anymore. I‘ve since learned to go out with minimal stuff to carry because it’s such a drag having to deposit stuff at the counter whenever I go inside a supermarket or store. Thanks for the bracelet too, I’ve always preferred white gold to yellow. I find them timeless. And jade pendants? Cute! :) I’ll wear it whenever appropriate. I have the habit of not wearing expensive jewelry when I feel exposed in the street. I automatically remove and hide them when I step out to ‘notorious places’.
Take care papa! We love you!

FRIDAY, January 10,2003
I woke up before six am. Turned the PC on, and exercised while waiting for it to get ready (I hate waiting standing still). Then I went online and checked my mails. Edgar was online. Amie too. We all chatted a bit. I watched all of Ed’s animations for the first time. I wish I could learn to make animations like that! And Christian(who did the ed and ed clone voices) sounds exactly like a typical dubbed anime character!
After net I was told to watch the baby, help with the laundry, and do some random errands since I’m the fastest on my feet. Squeezed out excess water from soapy clothes out of the washer, dumping a fresh batch, then while it spins shake out the other batch from the dryer, place a new rinsed out batch, then bring the ‘spin-dried’ clothes to hang outside while waiting for washer and dryer to finish their spin cycles(forgive me for including all the mundane details, I kinda love water chores like laundry and dishes. Strangely I still hate cooking).
Like I said, I hate waiting. I have to do something. I think it was a main reason I win in Warcraft, Warlords and other strategy games. But I digress. Anyway, it’s also why I get sent to do other random chores. Like hanging the new curtains. Mom was having problems reattaching the wire to its hook to hold the curtains up because she couldn’t pull the wire straight enough. I ran to get a longnose then volunteered to finish the job. She asked if we should employ some masculine strength from my big bro Allan, but I decided I could handle it.
I realized we couldn’t reattach the wire because it was too short. Dad obviously pulled the wire tight and cut it to its extreme minimum capacity. Good thing mom pointed out the other end which was slightly longer, so we took that one off and hooked the first (short) end. Then I saw how dad twisted the 2mm-thk wire securely. So I ran to get the pliers to be able to grab the stupid wire to untwist it. I could understand mom’s idea of letting Allan do it, but I’ve always been known to have pretty strong hands(and an extreme Taurus tenacity). So I got the job done. Just in time to return to laundry and babysitting :)
By 11am though I had to go to the fast-food pronto because the cook just called reporting that rush hour started an hour early! It was because students were practicing for the fiesta(Jan 15) here in San Pablo, messing up their usual class schedules.
By the time I got there though the first batch is done. So I spent my time cleaning up the tables for dishwashing. Mostly because we had so many people coming to eat we ran out of clean plates and stuff. I was texting my friends the whole time about the stuff I’m leaving at the tindahan (I’ll get to that later).
Beho replied that he’s dropping by that day. By the time he arrived I was done cleaning up tables and serving food and drinks. So I was finishing up with my late lunch since rush hour’s done(not an hour early). He’s carrying an electric guitar along with his big backpack. He said he’s got band practice in Los Baños. I introduced him to my li’l sis Wanwan. We chatted a bit until I’m done.
Then he gave me my books back. They’re done making Thought Market #2(they printed my comics there!) and gave me a complimentary copy(thank you!) as well as lending me a feminist zine made by his friend(People always think I’m feminist, but I’m still not. Really. Uh, more on that later).
I showed him the stuff he could borrow. We did some new year cleaning at the house so I found the rest of my culture crash collection. We decided that he borrow the whole collection so he’d understand the serials. He said that culture crash felt like a dubbed anime though. But we both agreed that it’s tops on quality and standards.
I thought about this story idea that involves pre-colonial Philippines, and wondered what it would look like now if we have never been colonized. But I would need tons of research for that. He just said that I need someone to make the story for me. He even joked that he’ll write one so I’d draw it. I just laughed and said sure.
I remembered calling his house and talking to his mom. She’s really friendly, saying “Yes, I know you! Why don’t you come visit us sometime?” I was surprised. And amused. She’s really sweet. I asked him how she knew. He just said “Well of course! We’re grade school classmates. She must’ve remembered you from the class picture.”
“What class picture??? We never had a class picture! ...I mean, I never had.”
“What? Introvert ka kasi e! ‘Di ka sumasama sa pop group!” he joked.
“Nakakasawa sa pop group palagi e. Maiba naman!” I joked back.
After he left, we got ready to go too, getting clearance from boss-mom, with a request to buy her big ripe dalanghitas. We checked the bills to pay, and listed future payments so we could set aside cash early on. The we went to buy the citrus delights on the way home.
At home I got dressed and read Jawbreaker, the feminist zine. It was a fun read :) They fearlessly tackled so many issues that schools wouldn’t even dare bring up. I get repeated references to catholic-school girls. My high school(and college) was catholic too. So I laughed at the nostalgia of things like watching ‘silent scream’ and listening to speakers who plead us to never fornicate. At the time, I didn’t relate at all because boys wouldn’t even look at a bony 14-yr old giraffe like me. And they’re asking me not have sex??? Noooo problem! :D
When I’m done I was so impressed I decided to write them. I felt like doodling while writing so I’m writing a snail mail. Inserting my doodles is something I can’t do online. Yet :)
But then I got asked to fix the meter-long fluorescent bulb that wouldn’t light because I was the tallest. When we replaced the bulb and it still didn’t work, we tested the starter by switching it with my desk lamp’s. It worked. I couldn’t write my letter as fast though since my desk lamp lost a starter. I’ll find a new when I get to bayan.
We had dinner at 9:30pm, watching Celestron channel for the progress of the fiesta that has been going from January 7 to 16. We would’ve liked to go and check it out ourselves, but we have yet to see a good reason why we should bother going out :)

We would’ve liked to go and check it out ourselves, but we have yet to see a good reason why we should bother going out :)

congrats nga pala to kuya gerry and ate ilyn! kick-ass invitations! talk about handmade! ;D
people ask me how kuya gerry's wedding went, since new year has come and gone i haven't talked much about it.
let's just it all started with me being home alone because went on a trip while i stayed behind to mind the store and the house. we didn't plan for them to stay that long that nobody could help me get ready for the wedding(because my fashion sense consists of "t-shirt, jeans, boots, tshirt, jeans..."). i called kuya gerry to ask them to pick me up, because i haven't arranged for transpo. then i called my fam so they got to tell me i could find a dress at the bottom dresser if i rummged long enough. they also told me not to wear t-shirt, jeans or boots because if i do they'll throttle me, "...and for god's sake, wear some make-up!!!"
motivated, i found the dress. and the shoes. and i ransacked my mom and sisters' kikay kit and played dress-up. and i really brushed my hair. i managed to put on make-up as correctly as possible, thank goodness for tracy's 'training' when she brought to the modeling agency. back then, she put on my makeup, all the while explaining how it's done, and she makes me practice whenever i can.
right on time, kuya gerry arrived with his bro. i walked to the front of the gate where they waited and we sped off to the cute little chapel in wawa. there we set up the stereo for the wedding soundtrack, and made some soundchecks. kuya gerry was muttering "i'mgonnakillthemi'mgonnakillthem..." when he found out that people never came earlier than 3pm, which is when the wedding is supposed to start, so we sorta waited until enough people came to start. i was milling around chatting with the people who came, gerry's mom even thanked me for helping, since i volunteered to operate the stereo for the background music. then kuya gerry told me to get start working ;) heheheh!
as the wedding commenced, it came it pretty good. it kinda weird though when some old guy photographer took my picture while i was hearing mass. but then there was this one guy whoran around the whole chapel lugging this humongous videocam. impressive hardware, but it's kinda funny 'cause kuya gerry seemed to be trying not to laugh as this camera guy pointed his cam straight at him. kulang na lang kausapin nya yung pari, "father, excuse lang ha? kuha lang ako ng magandang angle... there's my oscar clip!!!"
after the ceremony we held a picture taking session, when my duties are over :) it was THEN that we saw ryan, leinil, edgar, augy, and company running down the aisle trying to catch up to the wedding! nakaabot sila sa picture :)
i rode with gerry's bro and his fam to the reception. their kid played toy cars with me the whole time in the chapel and in the car. at the reception i saw rono's place for the first time :) the place looks great. and well furnished. the catering was very organized. and they have creative dishes.
it was funny how jim at first would introduce leinil to the kid as "the best artist in the world" to "the biggest stomach in the world" nil invited me to go along with him to for a round to at the buffet. i was really planning to go back anyway. i never claimed to eat like a bird :) edgar sat beside me and was fun to be with. jim was great with the kid, doing "magic tricks" and teaching him how to do them. ryan and gilbert talked about how darna is so delayed it didn't make its golden anniversary. gilbert was also really sweet with his new wife glenda (aww :)
i saw karen kunawicz for the first time, but i didn't approach her because well, nahihiya ako. same with budgette. i was planning to give him a batch72 fanart i made because i really enjoy the comics. the concept is great :) i just hope we could manage to make a comicbook that happens in ust for a change, or anywhere but UP when it comes to philippine schools! hehehe!
i also met a lot of my high school teachers there, because they happened to be the wedding couple's friends. i was glad i looked decent enough that night, because they said they were pleased at how i grew up (from the high school geek? sure :) one of them, miss lajara (who was my PE teacher) even agreed to drive me home. it was only too bad that i barely got to taste the fondant 'cause i never tried one before (ok, EVER). i hurriedly asked budgette tan's companion to give my fanart for me. a few days later kuya gerry told me that budgette got the fanart. he didn't say though if it's good or not. i'm glad enough that he didn't SAY it was bad :)
